Hey everyone,
I recently purchased a 91 Eclipse w/ a 1.8L in it. I have a question
..were they ever made as rear-wheel drive models? Because mine is one..I know they made FWD and AWD, but I don't know about RWD. Also, would it be easier for me to swap my engine and tranny out for a bigger engine (I prefer DOHC, not SOHC), and a matching tranny? Or just my engine, or what? BTW, I'm really glad I found these forums.
I'm currently trying to start my own tuner shop here in my local town..lots of teenagers to get into it. Another quick question, my car won't run. The battery was bad, so I changed it out for a new one. It cranks, runs for a sec, then sounds like it gets starved for fuel. I was thinking of pulling my fuel line off the rail and trying to see if it gets fuel. If it does, I don't know what I'm gana do. Any help would be appreciated.![Smile](https://mitsubishiforum.com/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif)

If there was no RWD..then what in the heck is up with my car[sm=smiley11.gif]? I'm not completely incompetent when it comes to cars. I know what a FWD tranny looks like, and a RWD tranny, and a AWD tranny..mine is a RWD..any idea what the heck is going on with my car? Should I replace my tranny? Or leave it untill something breaks?

lol, leave it till it breaks.. no use spending money fixing something thats not broken.. Im not sure what the hell is up with your car.. maybe its GSX and the front wheels have no power?? maybe it is a drag car and you dont know? lol, not sure, never made rwd, but I'll believe you, I will give you credit, it is YOUR car. just the fact that mitsu never made rwd eclipes makes it odd.
