Hey guys Im new to the group, and hoping I can find some people with vr4 experince, I recently purchsed a 1998 3000gt vr4... Has a few problems... first and formost is the tranny they tell me it is shot..... any suggestion on were to get a rebuilt 6 speed for it.

welcome to the forums m8, i'm sure the guys in the 3kgt section will help you out tons

and check the yellowpages for a trannyshop or even craigslist.com in your area for maybe someone posting their services

 

What makes them think its shot.

 

it is the german made getrag tranny, supra has the same thing but for some reason the 3kgt kinda got the shorter end of that one. I think the drivetrain and trannys in them are known to be a little ify at times
