Hey everyone my names brian, and i just bought a eclipse its a 1998 not a twin turbo but still a very nice car, this will be my first fast and nice car, and i need to know what would be something good to do to it engine wise, im looking for any advice and tips on what would be the best thing to start with, just any kind of advice would be solid.[/b]

Is that a GST or a GSX? Either way its a nice lookin car!

I thought you had a turbo eclipse thats why oh damn.

I recomend anything you can get your hands on. As long as you stick to good known name brands you should be ok. eGay is a no go so just stay away from it!

well its not much of a fast car either. First thing i say check the compression, or keep an eye out for signs of a bad head gasket cuz the 420a engine is known for those. And its tough to make them much faster than it is right now without a turbo.

 

you can see clearly in the pic it has the low wing and figure on no sidemount based on the look of it
