Default New Owner of a 97' GST

Hey Guys,

My name is Joey and I am the proud new owner of a 97' Eclipse GST.

Car is very nice, It's Silver, 80k, and an Automatic car.

Mostly stock with a Intake and BOV.

I've roughly got $1200 left in this project money, and unsure what to buy, but was thinking of either Suspension or Brakes. However, I got these forums to do my reserach and ask questions so thats what i'll do.

Hope to hear from everyone and meet some really kool people

-Joey-

The next thing i'd do is get a cat-back exhaust system. That will compliment your intake system well.

i'd go turbo back exhaust, boost gauge and boost controller. there isnt much else you can do do your engine power wise until you decide to upgrade your turbo b/c your turbo will be maxed out at the end of these mods. if you can scrounge up a few more bucks i'd say go head and put a 16g turbo on there. you'll need turbo, fmic, ic piping, fuel pump, injectors, tuning device (DSM Link or SAFCII), and a wideband. with these simple mods you'll be (depending on the tune) between 300 and 330whp.

Welcome

RCJ you always get right to the expensive stuff down the road huh . Like he said though i would go with an exhuast and then boost controller and boost guage. That will make it alot quicker than it is now. Suspension is always a good idea too because those cars ride height is pretty bad.
