hey guys, the names mike. i got a 90 gs that ive had for about 6 months now and just decided to turbo it. with the help of estraw and woody, it took about 10 hours. it ran like crap for a few days until i installed the ecu and the MAF. i also hadto replace a bunch of boost leaks that i found along the way. but all in all it is running good now. glad to be a member here and hope to learn a lot more bout cars.

Welcome to MF, Mike.
Which motor are we talking about? The 4g37 or 4g63? They are both N/A and found in some of the 1Gs.
Good going on the turbo'ing of your GS. If it was the 4g63, did you just swap heads? I'm leaning towards the 4g63, since you mentioned getting a ECU and MAF and the 4g37 didn't come turbo'd. Just curious.

it is the 4g63.. we did not swap the heads on it.. he bought all the turbo stuff off of a 1g gst that somebody was parting out. it still needs a good tune tho. its not quite running right

welcome... The IX Evos are the ones to get. They make more HP than the VIIIs do and take even better to mods than the VIII

It would have to be a 4G63, wouldnt it Silver? Since it was non-turboand a GSand I think only the RS and 'basic' DSM models got the 1.8L...

there was no such thing as an rs in the 1g models. There was only

Eclipse base--which only came with the 4g37
Eclipse GS --which came with either the 4g37 (alittle upgraded from the base) or the 4g63 non-turbo

Then of course the turbo models
