NEWBIE
Hey every one, I'm Bob. I am a new Mitsubishi owner. I havea 97' Eagle Talon AWD. It's got an EVO3 Big 16 g Turbo, AEM tru-boost controler, reddy Blow off valve and a Full 3" Performance exhaust with test pipe. I am relitively new to the import scene, and to Mitsubishi cars. I am having a problem with my Blow off valve. And don't quite no how to fix it. It has two ports on it. I know the top goes to manifold vacuum, but I can not find out how to hook up the bottom port. It works okay but I don't want to cause any problems to the engine since I just rebuilt the top end. Can someone please guide me through how to properly make it work. Thanks.

Welcome to MF Bob. I assume that you're referring to recirculation tube. What type of BOV do you have, I wouldn't think that your car still has the stock 2g BOV.
If it is the recirc tube that you're referring to, it needs to be connected to the intake tube that goes into the turbo compressor. Like this...
In this pic, the car has a 1G bov installed.

BTW, the Mitsu Eclipse was produced in Normal, Illinois. It's brotheren consists of the Eagle Talon, Plymouth Laser, Mitsu Galant (+VR4), Dodge Avenger, and Chrysler Sebring. It's a domestic with an import badge. The DSM was never made in Japan, DSMs are actually imported TO Japan FROM the states. You'll notice in time that DSM owners refer to their vehicles as a domestic and not an import. That also means that there is no such thing as a JDM part for this car, but there is such a thing as USDM parts. Besides, a Japanese import is from....Japan and also has parts that originate from there.
