Wow, what a great forum. I didn't know this existed untill today. G'day guys, my name is Kristian from Sydney, Australia. I have a Mitsubishi Mirage 1.5L EFI, with no modifications, except for a stero upgrade and the car is driving like it's in 3rd gear all the time. The performance of the car is very sluggish and the tranmission light keeps on flashing. I went to change the tranmission fluid and the filter on the transmision. I took the cover off the tranmission near the front of the car about 1 month ago and the fluid looked okay in colour, I mean not brown or black. I couldn't find a plug to drain the trans fluid and when I removed the cover of the tranmission from the front of the vechile (in the engine bay) the filter to change on the transmission was not there. I can only see the fill dipstick for the transmission.

Is there a drain plug for the transmission and what fluid should I be using? Do you guys know what tranmission model number is in this car?
