Default oxygen sensor what each wire does

I own a 1989 Dodge (Mitsubishi) Raider with the 3.0L V6. The vehicle came equipped with a 4-wire oxygen sensor. The repair shop replaced it with a unit less than the 4 wires, I believe a 2-wire was installed. They say it is working fine, but I would like to know the function of all 4 wires so I know what is missing and whether I should get the 2-wire job replaced. Any info appreciated.

Default RE: oxygen sensor what each wire does

I might be wrong, but I think this is in the wrong place. Other than that, I have no clue. Isn't the raider basically a dakota? My dad has a dakota...I don't know anything about the 4 wire oxygen sensor. If it's working fine and its not throwing any codes (wait about a week or 2 to make sure) then I'd leave it alone. Like the old adage says "if it ain't broke, don't fix it."
