Pajero
Hi Guys,
Looking for some help/advice please.
I idiotically managed to somehow put pertol into my tank instead of diesel. I drove for a few miles then my jeep cut out, My tank has since been drained and cleaned but I still have an issue.
I have very little power under 2000rpm and when I shift through the gears (automatic) there is alot of smoke coming out of my exhaust.
Could there possibly be petrol clogged in one of my injectors.
Thanks,
Chris

My son did this on my 89 diesel Landcruiser and after replacing fuel there was no damage. The Pajero has higher compression and pump pressure so I would expect some posible damage to pump seals rather than the engine. Petrol doesn't lubricate the same as diesel fuel and has a much lower viscosity.
There is no easy fix, I'm afraid. Need to get into a Mechanic who has the tools to test injector pump as well as engine leak down.
