Just finished up the honda and w/ the m sprt coming out of warranty it is time to start modding. Does the 02 sport xls have the 3.5 197 hp, cuz I get mixed results when I search, some say 02 xls=165? and 03xls=197, please just the facts man.

Did you even readthe text?I am inquiring about an 02 montero sport, I may have stated I was finishing my other project which yes it is a honda. Thanks for all the great info though.

 

In 03 they changed the engine size from a 3.5 to 3.8L. And in 02 there where two different engines availible. There was a 3.0L V6 which came with the 165hp your talking about and there was the 3.5L V6 that came with 197hp. I believe the xls came with the larger 3.5L engine. Someone correct me if im wrong

 

I have sone a lot of searching and also believe I got the 3.5 197hp, this is weird not knowing or being able to find out for sure, "other" (don't want to offend the people above), you can find engine codes, specs, whatever. Next to try and find what mods are hiding out there. Thanks to: the people that helped w/input.
