Hi,
First of all my english isn't excellent, but I could really need some help now! Bought my first car about 3 weeks ago and it worked just fine. The car is a Mitsubishi Sapporo Saloon -88 with automatic transmission (4-speed).
Now the transmission wasn't perfect when I bought the car, because it's old, but it shifted gear, which it isn't doing anymore. P works, R works and N works, but when I put it into D it's stuck on 3rd gear all the time, it will not shift up/down. When I put the box on 2 or L it still drives only on 3rd gear. I don't know what the problem is or why it is doing this. It's very frustrating because there is no funny sound coming from the gearbox and I'm able to drive the car, but only on one gear. Please help me if you have any ideas of where the problem is?

 

try getin up to about 40mph and putin the car in p for a sce then back in d its a lil trick i do that works sometimes

 

It's working now, there was just one cable broken. I got it fixed, thanks anyway
