Default searching for a delica

greetings.
i am trying to acquire a mitsubishi delica here in the usa, but they are not sold here.
they are sold in canada, which may be where i have to go to buy one.

is anyone familiar with this vehicle?
it's pretty bad-***.

i am trying to find out:
[ol][*]if i can buy one in the states[*]if it is street legal (right-side steering, EPA requirements, etc.)[*]if i can get it serviced[/ol]i would be EXTREMELY grateful to anyone who has knowledge on this, or can steer me in the right direction.

thank you kindly. be well.

yeah, I love the spacegear! don't even bother, chances are you'll never be able to get it registered. Well, if you get the old L300 and tag it as a historical you have a possibility. Why do you think Mitsu stopped importing the L3's?
I've already been through it. There are lots on eBay.uk There are a few importers in Canada shipping them over from Asia. Hell, I was thinking of buying a summer home in Canada, then I could tag it there and drive the thing anywhere I want.
It'll cost you about $3k+ to import to a port in LA or NYC...then if you can get your state to agree to tag it....it'll cost you another $2,500+. The only answer I would have is to keep your eyes peeled for a mid 80s L300. There were some 4x4s imported to this country. I have seen them. But finding a diesel model? f'get about it.
