So Im new to the forums, i just picked up a 95 eclipse. I am new to the whole import tuner world, I have been into lowriders and minitrucks for 8 years now, and decided to give this a try. Well here are a few things done to it. The car needs some attention cosmetically (if you have a car your parting out, let me know) but as far as mechanically, this thing is a beast!. I have never had a car with turbo before, but this thing can get up and go!.

Here are some stuff its got. Ill post more pics later when I take some, its a little icy outside so Ill have to wait till it warms up.

I got a few new eclipse owner questions. What is the difference between regular motor nos, and intercooler nos? Do i need to do any maintenance on the turbo? How long should i have the turbo timer on for wheni take the key out?

The intercooler spray is probaby just a shot of NOS that sprays onto the intercooler to reduce the temperature to reduce "heatsoaking". An actual NOS system provides an injection of NOS into the engine to create more power.

As for your specs you listed, double check your #'s on the injectors. The car comes with 440cc injectors stock and the numbers go higher as you upgrade(eg. 550cc, 660cc.)

As for turbo maintenance, just ensure that your hose clamps are tight to prevent any boost leaks. The turbo timer is a large debate, some feel it is not necessary at all while others say its a must. I've been running mine at 2 minutes since I bought my 95 GST in 2004. I don't bother running it as long if the car hasn't been driven long or hard or if I had previously cooled it off and am just moving a few blocks for example(driving to one location that takes 20 minutes to get there, but then have 5 stops near by).

ok, so can anyone tell me if this is actually the stock or an aftermarket turbo? how can you tell? the manifold looks stock, what is a nice manifold that i could put on here with this turbo? do i need to do any other mods? what about this hook thing in front of the bumper?

any other performance suggestions?

Recirculate the blow off valve for one...

The housing of the T28 and the T25 are the same. The only difference is internally... other than that, you cant tell

 

recirculate the BOV? what will that do and how do yo do that? what size is the stock turbo? and what kind of exhaust manifold would be nice with this motor and turbo? and what all do you have to do with that modification?
