Hi Folks,
I have a problem with my engine. At cold start, the hydraulic lifters are noisey for a while then the noise disappears. I change oil very often but I noticed when the oil is not changed on time the noise appears more often. After the last oil change the noise is there intermittently. After starting the engine in the morning the sound stops for a while after driving for over 15 minutes. This is the 3rd foreign used engine in the car. All others had the same problem. Is this a defect in the 4G91 engines or is it common in others. Are the hydraulic lifters ( or tappets ) shims. The auto shops don't carry these parts. How can I rectify problem.
