Well ive been looking for a quite a while and ive ran across countless spyders. Finally found a 02 eclipse gs manual.

They are asking 6300 for it. Its at a dealer. I have already gotten them down to 5 even. But after doing some research i seen that the TMV for the condition that it is in is barely over 4k.

Things i noticed when looking over the car. The front bumper is split at the bottom directly in the middle which is not much of a problem but a bargaining piece i havent thrown in yet.

It also seems to have a dry mist blowing from one of the air vents to the left of the steering wheel, any ideas on what that could be? From what i have researched it could be the AC ready to go out which is a hefty sum to get fixed.

I figured i should be able to get them down to between 4 and 4.4k.

Well my real question is would this be a good buy?

I would probabaly stay away from it, once they hit the 100k mile area they can be very expensive to maintain.

 

Im not really worried about maintenance since this wont be a DD more of a weekend driver. But i just wanna get the price low as possible for the initial purchase

 

What are your plans to do w/ it? If you want something fast, why not get a 2g turbo dsm?

 

Just some little mods here and there mostly driving on the weekends.... 2g's are near impossible to find within like 400 miles of here

 

That is way too much for that car. If you can get it down to what you predicted, I'd say go for it.

I actually saw this car on Autotrader, and when I searched for 02 manual Eclipses under 6500, this was the most expensive. There were cars with 20-30k less on them for less $$$.
