wus up!!!
wus up ya'll...im new to this forum as well as a new eclipse owner. i just got a 96 RS in exhange of my civic.a question to all of you eclipse owners out there, my eclipse didnt come with an engine in it, instead the last owner gave me the stock turbo 4g63...im just wondering if i can put that on my eclipse with or without modifying anything in the engine bay???
First off you need to find out what engine was originally in there. The 4G63 6 bolt is a damn good engine and has ALOT of potential power-wise. BUT if that wasn't the original block that was in there then you will end up haveing to change a few very important things. A.) ECU. B.)Wiring harness C.) possibly even the trans. D.) I also believe the motor mounts are placed different I can't remember on that one though. Now if you're merely switching for an N/A engine to a turbo or vice versa you'll have to chenge only the harness and the ecu. If your switching from the 420A to the 4G63 though you'll have to change all of it.
