Default 95 GST in shop

so the mechanic just started to dig into my motor, and I called eralier today to check the progress, they have barely stareted. But he told me that a bolt that holds my turbo on was broken, or rusted or something of the sort. I was wondering, I remeber when It was still driving, (its been out of commision for 9 mo) but I alway had some boost creep, or the turbo would just cut out for a second. Really not sure. But would that of been the problem.? (Owner before me really drove it into the ground pretty much.) that bastard

depends on where it was located... if it was on the cold side it would have been the problem, if it was on any side that delt with the exaust then no.

Sounds like you where hitting fuel cut, maybe your wastegate was messed up in someway. Whats was wrong with your car for you to have to send it to a mechanic?

well a when it broke down I was just driving along and out of nowhere it just slowly died and I rolled to a dead stop on the side of the road. Had it taken in for a breif check at one shop and they said I had lost compression in 1 and 3, or 4, forgot wqhich one. so I though I just had a bent vavle or something. anyways Just went in to check the progress and the Diagnosis was,

1. Bent valve, maybe more,
2. Broken Camshaft,
3. Head needs to be shaved, or something like that. (anyways he literally told me it was F*&^%$*)
Outcome: Rebuilding of new head which is now in prgress. Its down at the machine shop right now.
Damn labor costs

At least my turbo isnt blown.........yet.....lol
