adjusting blow off valve
dumb question and im pretty sure i know the answer but when adjusting a greddy rs blow off valve. turning it more to the hard side does what and turning it to the soft side does what. my friend and i are have a little disagreement about it, thanks.

Tightening increases the preload of the spring inside. So, if your bov is set to hold until 15psi from the factory and you tighten it, it will start to hold boost at a higher psi.
Loosening decreases the preload of the spring and will do the opposite of the above statement.
There shouldn't be a disagreement to this at all, it's pretty obvious[sm=smiley20.gif]
Just make sure that it doesn't cause a fluttering sound if you tighten it. That's called compressor surge and it's not good for turbos.
Although compressor surge at low boost of 5 or less won't hurt your turbo in the short run. Your bov is adjustable, so there should be no reason for any flutter, just loosen it a bit more.

about that flutter sound does it sound like a pidgeon??and my car is stock so how should i adjust my bov.....right now i was drivin and it made what i guess is the flutter sound so i should loosin or tighten...
