Default help with a turbo

Hi my name is mark and i just got started into the import seen. i use to race motocross a lot so i know a lot about that. i was wondering if you guys could help me out? i have a 1994 eclipse gs and i was wondering what the best turbo kit would be. i know that you must get forged pistions and rods. but other than that i have no clue so any help would be very usefull

check out the eclispe section, we have several write ups on how to bulk up your engine.

is your GS a 1.8l or 2.0l?

I had a GS a couple years ago, and to tell you right out... You would be better off trying to find a GST somewhere... The money your gonna spend on the GS to bulk it up and to put a turbo on it later is gonna get up there in $..

If you are going to go ahead with this project, and you are buying pistons, your stock compression is 9.0:1. Get a set of dished pistons so you can crank up the boost. You will be pretty limited to how much pressure you can safely add without killing your reliability. The Advocate is correct though, It will cost you because of your non-turbo config. So unless the car has sentimental value, (as every car in my garage does, I can't help myself) then go for the 4g63T. Her's a site for you. www.slowboyracing.com
