im only 16 so im not completely into knowing what im doing yet. i have a 1991 eagle talon that i bought a week ago it has a 4g63 non turbo with pace setter headers and downpipe. im told that it keeps up with turbos but im not completely sure until i get new tires on and actually try. just looking for a little input.

would it be worth the money, buying a turbo for my car or not. im looking for any opinions

well there is no way it keeps up with turbo cars unless it is a VW 1.8T. But ya you dont need a kit since you could just go and buy a 1G TSi setup and bolt it in.

I dont mean this as a flame or anyhting but if you dont know much about the car instead of asking a uninformed question why not do some searching and reading and then make an informed question. What you just asked has been discussed many times in this forum let alone the entire internet.

Isn't asking questions a part of doing research?

Ya but whats the use of an answer when you cant understand it?

The basic answer is yes, the 4g63 turbo parts will fit. But the actual task of seting up the kit and the install are pretty involved. For example to do the swap you will need a ecu, wiring harness, headgasket, cams, and injectors besides the hot and cold parts from a 4g63t to do the swap. I doubt this is the answer that he was looking for, but its the answer.

That is a good answer and it makes sense, but I look at this forum as a way to educate and learn for all the newbies to turbos out there. I mean we all were once in this guys position. We started off knowing very little but with help from knowledgeable individuals, researching and asking questions we all have learned a lot. Just remember you were once in this guys position. No question is a stupid uneducated question. The only one that is, is the one not asked. Better to ask then make a mistake. I know I have learned that the hard way.

Check out the stickies in the mitsubishi eclipse spider forums They have a lot of good info that has helped me out tremendously. Lots of good stuff. If you got questions on anything in there like I did just ask. These guys on this forum have a lot of knowledge and are not afraid to share it. some more reserved then others j/k
