is it rare for people to see 1G DSM's? because i had my hood popped due to a dead battery, and a group of 17-19 year old dudes, come up to me and ask " is that a v6?" and i replied with an inline 4, and then the other dude goes "can you drift?" lol i was like "No its awd" and then they asked me to rev it so that they can hear the engine/exhaust, hahahaha, i was like my battery is dead, and they kept asking me to rev it anyway, wth!? i was bout to clock a fool, hahaha, but whats up? is it really that uncommon to look at it and not know its a 4 banger?

No their just scard. lol, not many people know about the dsm world and those that do know what to look for. I guess for some highschool kids a evo in a eclipse body is a bad *** thing. For us dsm guys rare would be calssified as a 1g awd 6 bolt eprompt virgin car... or a gvr4 w/ aws. Other then that, its normal.... kinda. Every day that goes by the more people forget about the 1g beasts. 6 years ago if you said you had an eclips people would as " 1g or 2g" now its "does it have a v6?". The days of the 4 banger awd turbo clips are comming to an end so in a matter of speaking yes it is rare. Lets face it most of the 1g's that are worth anything will be gone in another 4 years either stowed away as a piece of track history or in a junkyard.
