When I saw the AMS evo get dynoed they were pushing just as much torque as they were hp.. And other ones that ive seen get about 200 less for tq numbers.. And this guy is about half of his hp.. Just seems wierd that hes not getting more tq with that much hp..

here look at the TQ.. As I said before it is normal. no car holds TQ at that HP even Big blocks lose TQ up there just not as much so its no guess a I4 would only get that #..... It is 100% normal.
2nd dyno sheet with the old 1.02 housing and the new 1.28 housing dyno plot on top of each other. The green is the old #s with BC 280 cams and 1.02 divided housing.
If you look at the 2 dyno #s i lost no spooling by going to a bigger housing with the divided
Now AMS with a 2.3L makes 15% more for obvious reasons here is that chart
and SAE Correction
So 810tq with the stroker. so the displacement it reason for the low Tq. But what he got was pretty close to being normal

In the end, what Mike is trying to say is that the motor needs more air flow over more velocity to make more torque. A 2g DSM would act the same if it still had the 2G head over the 1G head or a stroker, cams, etc.
More air in, more air combusted, and more air out together is the key.
