So i went to chevron today with a friend with an sr20 240sx. We both got about 20 bucks of "premium"
When i ask for gas, i ALWAYS say "____ of PREMIUM"
Nobody who really cares about their turbo car will say "____ of gas"
So i ended up getting 14 dollars of gas. and when i came back out after paying i noticed i got 5 whole gallons...for only 14 bucks? Something was wrong. I walked closer to the pump and the arrow was over REGULAR.
God. Damnit!
I ask the guy about it, and he said "you ask fo regula dint you?"
".......No?! why would i ever ask for regular when i have a turbo car?"
"well man its all the same thing, its all the same grade, it dont matta"
"Are you serious?"
"yeah man its all the same"
"NO ITS NOT! DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT AN OCTANE RATING IS!?"
"well go talk to the guy inside"

So i went inside talked to the guy at the counter, he tells me there is nothing he can do, and thats when i started getting really infuriated. Basically what im being told is...its my fault i didnt babysit the gas attendant guy because he cant do his own job correctly.
So i asked for the manager, and he basically said the same thing, so i asked him
"Soim ****ed then huh? i ask for premium and if i just happen to get regular its my fault and should just drive off and **** my motor up huh?"
"well if i walk out there and ask the guy for your slip, its going to say premium?"
"well, if hes ****ing retarded enough to physically give me regular over what i asked for, i doubt he has the mental capacity to actually circle the right gas too, and i dont ****ing care what it says on that slip, he gave me the wrong ****ing gas, and either you will pump the gas out of my car and give me premium, or give me a free can of octane booster"

So being the little midget bitch he was, he wrote down my license and said he would never do it again if i came back, and gave me a can of octane booster.
**** that chevron. Im definately not going back there.

When i went back out and put the octane into my car, the guy said "did they give you that free?"
"yeah"
"well it dont matter anyways, its all the same thing"
"yes it does matter. Do you understand what an octane rating is? or detonation? I have a turb..."
"Yeah yeah yeah i understand man dont worry about it"

The lesson to be learned here is, WATCH THEM PHYSICALLY PRESS THE PREMIUM BUTTON AND THEN PUT THE PUMP INTO YOUR TANK

And the other lesson is...people suck!

 

oh yeah and my friend had to tell the guy 3 times that he wanted premium too...It went something like this...

"what can i get fo you mang?"
"20 premium"
"20 regular, aight"
"no PREMIUM!"
"oh aight"--continues topress the regular button
"NO! Listen! i need premium gas!"
"oh yeah i was just gonna change it"

 

wow, sounds like someone needs some styrofoam in their gas tank *cough cough, gas guy, cough cough* when it f's his car up, just tell him its the same as putting regular gas into it

 

well wtf? how do these people keep jobs? im assuming hes just another dropout stoner that has no respect for what he does..you know in all honesty you could prababy sue them for this lol.

 

we dont have people around here in ohio. you pump your own gas so you dont get the wrong ****.

Thats ****ing gay. The manager didnt even do anything? That is poor business ethics

 

its a gas station. what do you think he can do other than put booster in? they are usually indian or something and dont careless anyways.
