Default boost creep

aight... i'm lookin at gettin either the fp352 or fp3065 for my gsx... i'm gonna buy it here in about 2 weeks. i have heard this term before but i wanted to completely understand what exactly it is... FP's website says "Boost pressure can be set as low as 14psi without ANY boost creeping at higher RPM." what is boost creep?

The simple answer is...
That's when you see your boost gauge needle slowly go past your preset boost level.

The basic detailed version is...
This happens when some of your exhaust cannot be relieved by the wastegate (usually because the flapper is too small) and causes the turbine wheel to continue to spool up..I think of it as a "flapper overrun" or too much exhaust, but not enough flapper, lol. This is why some folks get a larger flapper, a 34mm or an external.
This usually happens at lower boost settings too, not to much at higher boost levels.

*just an example number*

That looks awesome even with the stock manifold. Thats cool how they did that. I have never seen them actually weld the fitting on like that... hmmm intresting.

Looks great with the new manifold without all the rust and stuff.

Anyone know if there is a way of chemically treating it to prevent all rust and stand up against extreme heat?

You'll have to clean the mani and then spray some very high temp paint or clear onto it Sebba. They have 2k degree paint, or 2400 deg paint. I have some, but I can't remember which. Either way, it's up there in temp. Made by VHT btw. That's high enough, you're in big trouble if it's not, lol...yikes.
