ok guys, my friend has a 05 sentra, and i used to be able to rape him, now he has gotten faster, so he can beat me now, his car has like 4k miles on it, so i was thinkin that it might have finally broke in, idk do yall have any ideas?

 

ahh from what little youve said there is lots of things that come to mind like...maybe hes modded his car or perhaps he learned to race really good???

 

or maybe your car wasnt warmed up.....maybe you forgot that the gas was on the right.....

If there's that drastic of a difference he is probably doing some work and not sharing the details with you, how were his launches and shifts before? Is he auto or stick so this would make a difference?

 

no he has the same mods, but hes like a dumbass when it comes to cars, but i did teach him how to race with an automatic trans. also i put my header on and i have a short ram intake, so i was thinking that the header is makin more heat, so the intake is gettin hot air what do yall think?

 

The header shouldn't be hotter than the stock pipes, but you don't have a heat shield anymore either. But that still seems pretty drastic, especially since you said you had gained more HP than you thought you would. How many times did you race?

 

How much did you beat him by originally and how much does he beat you by now?

 

oh you got new larger headers? that could be why right thur...headers will take away some lower end torque (the git up and go) but it will give your car more top end power so that could have been the isue right there.....

 

yea i think thats it, cuz i used to b able to hit like 85mph in my car now i can do like 115 lol also do u think if i ran my filter into the fender it would add some hp? so basicly a cold air intake?

 

what's the sentra got done to it?
