i went to the junkyard today lookin for stuff for my friend taurus....then i cam across a 1992 montero 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANS good condition nothing stripped but the radio and it looks great....exept the grill is hanging off a lil rust and the headlight is smashed....i asked if i could buy whole cars but i couldnt.....dang if i got that ids swap bad and good parts from my monty into the 92 EVEN THE ENGINE!!!!! it had the green color that theyu stopped making after the 2nd gen...ill post pics later....but it was such a nice looking monty....im still gonna see if i can buy that or at least trade mine for that one

They dont make as much money if they sell you the whole car

I actually tried doing that with a 1st gen eclipse, and the guy told me right out they dont sell them whole b/c not making as much money and because its not road worthy.. They wanted $150 for a front bumper at one junk yard, and they prolly got the car for $50-$100 in the first place..

sad part is...most interior and engine damage IS EASY TO FIX!!! radio...i still got my stock one.....i can put my stuff in that montero swap seats and s*** and compass and stuff...swap it....i can swap good stuff from mine into that one

Seriously tho that sucks, Iwas in a yard and came acrosss arolling shell of an eclipse, only things missingwere the hotparts for the turbo, everything else was ther from what I could tell and wouldnt you know it... it was a 6 bolt tsi. Pissed me off that I couldnt take it home.
