i was helping my buddy get his car running and we were doing what was told to do by youguys and after taking the plugs out he SANDED the carbon and **** off. usualy ive rubbed it off with a rag but does sanding work better or ruin them or anything? let me know

i've done it on my snowmobile plugs..as long as its a fine fine sand paper it just gets more of the harder carbon off thats all

i ment to say his grampa sanded it off, not my buddy. but anyways it wasnt fine sand paper, it was like 80. not no 400 fine paper

Oh..thats a bit extremei think...it wouldnt hurt the plug too much..but it probably opened the gap a little bit :-p

id probably use 220, 180 at the most. ya 80 is a bit much

I use a fine file. This only works on copper plugs, don't try this on platinum or iridium plugs.

ya, they are cheap, even for decent ones, id just replace them too
true they are cheap and easy to get, but common where is the fun in just buying new ones :-p
