Eclipse running 12.5?

Eclipse running 12.5?
I went to new england dragway tonight and there were 2 2nd gen GSX's and 2 1st gen GSX's they all ran mid 12's. What do you think the had done to them? they all had FMIC's

so what would i need to do to step up to that speed?
One other question, Almost every single racer seemed like they had a hard time getting in to second gear, except for a GSX and a few other cars.
Even the sti's were running 14's. It was like they'd launch but then bog down

A buddy of mine has a 2nd generation eclipse with a 16G turbo running 17psi, fat intercooler intake, exhaust, cams, and a tune and he says he can run 12's and smoke my Evo. I haven't raced him but if that's true he has one quick Eclipse!
