I was always partial to the older EVO's.... like the IV's and V's


don't like the way they went with this new pile that's for sure

 

i'm still stickin by my opinoin that the wing makes the car in that particular one.... we had an autocross course setup today in a highschool parking lot (state thing) and there must have been 15 EVO's and about 20 STI's. . . i'd say 10 out of 15 EVO's had no wing, and about 7/20 STI's had no wing. . . i just don't like it.... in certian cars, YES the wingless effect is nice (like my 2g eclipse w/ a body kit... it's long so it think it looks great w/o a wing) but in certin cars (STI's, EVO's, SRT-4s, stock 2g eclipse GS-T, GSX 99 gs, it's just gotta have it... i know i know, different strokes for differnt' folks but that's my opinoin

 

ya man the SRT is 104583405734875 times cooler looking without the wing though... I am tossing the idea of pulling the wing off of mine soon. atleast if I get sick of no wing then I can toss it backon later

 

my bro wants the wingon his impreza off and i want the one on my galant gone,its all about preference. i dont like wings on cars... no need for em... even when mfgrs say they are fuctional. i cant see theevo ten's wing doin much for the handling of the car. its there for looks, somthing to set the evo apart from other lancers. but this evo apears to havea lower roof so there wont be such a large difference between the top of the car and trunk.

 

actually the EVOs wings are VERY functional the 05-06s got the vortex genorator too which made them even more functional the EVO x wing I garentee will do the same.

 

like the man said... it's all about preference... and emonz i think you read what i wrote twisted, that or i wrote it wrong. i like the srt-4's better WITH the wing, along w/ STI's and EVO's. so you have an SRT-4 and an EVO???? i hate you!

No i knew what you ment, I was replying to you saying I think they look better wingless. and I was talking bout the EVO, pulling the EVO wing off soon lol that was my bad I typed that confusing I guess but I ont drive my Evo that is a occasion car i guess now since I dont need to rely on it

 

yea, like my eclipse lol i'm soo freakin boost envy... mabey that's why i want the GSX so bad b/c the car "club" i'm in (not really a club just a close group of friends called Parks Racing) everybody is turbo'd... 1 white srt-4 - 310whp (allllll of these dyno's are on mustang dyno), 1 black srt-4 - sidewinder turbo swap - 340whp, 1 orange srt-4 - 282 whp, 1 black evo VIII- 325whp, 1 silver evo VIII - 300whp (lots of suspention mods), 1 silver evo IX daddys boy - 340whp, 1 soon to be turbo'd v6 Mazda 6 apx 320whp tuned, 1 cobalt SS stage 2 226whp, 1 blue 03 wrx - 334whp (soon to be more -methanol injection), 1 turbocharged built CRX - 380whp, 1 black srt-4 - apx 280whp, 1 blue srt-4 - apx 290whp, the list goes on about 3 or 4 more cars ending up w/ the owner of the local performance place called Showzone w/ a anniversary editon skyline pushin about 690whp.... and then there's me... honda del slow or eclipse GS... it sux
