Default Experiences with Heavy Diesel Mechanic Training Programs?

Hello all,

I am considering enrolling in a heavy diesel mechanic training program and am curious about what to expect. I would love to hear from anyone who has gone through hands-on courses covering engines, hydraulics, diagnostics, or large vehicle maintenance.

How practical is the training and does it prepare you well for real-world workshops or transport jobs? Are there aspects of the program you found especially valuable or areas that could be improved?

Any advice on what to focus on during training to get the best return for time and effort would be really helpful.
