'99 Dodge stratus. 120MPH Yes I found the governor. It basically takes control of the gas (like you let off the pedal or something) until you get down to 85 again where you get control back.

I'm one for saving the equipment so I've only had my '99 GS-T up to 120 mph
I was headed south on I-79 in PA here and I noticed a Porsche 911 in my rear view coming up on me quick so I increased my speed to about 90 and then he pulled along side of me and we were doing 120 then he gunned it and I backed off and away he went.

lets see, i hit 100 exact going down hill a lil with my eclipse ( <-- ) in my picture... yea it has a 1.slow so it kinda sucks. but in my moms grand prix i hit 135, and in my step moms grand am i hit the governor at 120 and took a picture of the spodometer with my camera phone to prove it... lol.
