Finally, my daughter is driving a clutch
Those are such beautiful cars! It also seems that you've got a great family too[sm=smiley20.gif]
There is a lot of estrogen in that house though, my prayers are with you, lol. I'm kidding

That is a little 350ci with only 300hp, 3.42 standard Z rear gears, and yes, fresh Dupont Chroma Clear. Traded one of my projects, a '55 Chevy truck, for the bodywork since I didn't have time to do it myself. The guy did an excellent job. A few problems with the paint, one run on the rear spoiler, and I buffed through the paint on the hood about the size of a quarter but I have enough paint to do those again, that's easy. The only thing I'm short is the catalyst for the clear. It still is a very nice paintjob.Gotta get the rest of the pulleys and air conditioning hooked up before I start it and move to the interior which is almost all new parts. Fender vents like that stock on '78 and '79 Z's, '80 and 81 had the vents with no louvers.
It must look bigger than what it is becuase it is closer to the camera than the car. Optical illusion.
Ouch that sucks on buffing through the clear. It is always hard to judge a paint job that you didnt do yourself. My dad put 3 coats of clear on my chevelle so when we scuff and buffed it we were sure to not burn through it. A/C in these cars is so nice. They all came full leather back in the day, well most. I have all black leather and if it wasnt for the A/C I wouldnt drive the car in the summer until the sun goes down at night. Its all black inside so the sun warms her up really quick.
The car wasnt painted or completly put together inside yet in this picture but its a good shot of everything black inside. Do you have any other projects going on"?

Actually, I painted this car and knew how much clear was on but put just a bit too much pressure on the buffing and heated it up and blistered the area. Yes, I have another project going but have not been on it since May of '06. Need to get on it, the cage and floors are getting a light coat of rust but the white Camaro has to be done first. My other project is on the second page of this post of my '72 SS/RS with my buddy's tunnel ram sitting on top. I've post the '67 Chevelle I built and the '70 RS Camaro I worked on too but sold both. My next door neighbor came over nearly every day I worked on the '67 Chevelle till I finally sold it to him. The car really did turn out good.
