Default Funny oil mishap that proves me is a noob

I was changing my oil.. as I have done many times... finished up.. put everything up... cranked the car to drive it around some... 2 seconds later I heard a PFFFFFFFFT!! *squirt!* ...turn the car off.. look under the car, and the filter is soaked in oil as well as the ground.. Come to find out the rubber gasket stuck to the car from the old filter.. didn't even rub off when I was ragging the oil clean for the new filter.. and had a double gasket going when I put the new filter on. lol.. that'd never happened before.. Pissed me off, but it was kind of funny.

i have heard alot of bad things about them. They arnt one of the cheap filters on the rack for nothing. On of the bad things that ive heard is that the filter on the inside is really cheap and can actually put deposits in your oil. When i had my talon all i used was mobil. But now that im back to a ****box im back to using fram. So dont get me wrong, ill use them, but i have heard stories about them.

Fram filters are the #1 filter for double gasketing. I've been changing oil for quite some time and fram if overtightened at all will usually leave the gasket behind. I learned the hard way on an H2. Then learned a second time on an RX-7. Both were fram filters. I will NEVER use one EVER. I use the Purolator Pure 1 exclusively in all my cars (Around $5 a filter though).

I had a job changing oil long ago and one time a guy I worked with took apart a few different brands of filters to see what was inside, Fram was BY FAR the ****tiest made.
