ok, yea i know i need a car but in auto body class we're in short supply of paint guns (like we have 2 good ones) and we're really gettin into painting cars (especially me, i got a job to paint some kids subaru legacy my fender and what ever car i may be gettin) my question is how much would a really good gun cost me?

Well a good gun will run you about 300 bucks. A good brand to get is devilbiss, that's what I have. The difference between a good and a cheap gun is that when you clean the gun ona cheaper one, the laquer thinner will eat away the inside of it unlike a good gun. The gun I got is the gti millenium from devilbiss, it comes wit 3 different size nozzles, one for clear,one for paint, and one for primer, I think they're 1.3,1.4,and 1.5.

yea i have a gti devilbiss as well... it's a whole kit with about 5 nozzles, wall holder, etc etc... it runs about 450 but i got it through my teacher for about 200

hvlp guns are nice regardless,,, i havent heard of any of those, but u get what u pay for

the cobalt one in the link above that's also a very trusted brand. and i know husky makes good tools. but never trusted them as far as paint goes. in the end it's all about the opinion you form about something like that. if you try the husky one. let me know how it sprays compared to the ones you got at school. also see if you get the husky gun if you can buy more tips rather than just having the one 1.4mm tip.
and just to letyou know, these days all guns that come out are hvlp guns, and i believe it's an osha law that they all have to be hvlp guns

that husky was HVLP, i just dont want to waste any $$$, im in desperate need of a car and paint gun, so i need to know if its good at all, im sure i can swap internals and stuff though,(?)
