I ask because meth the drug is big around my area and there is a whole town just a few miles from me that is riddled with it and people from that town are in the news all the time for getting busted for it. But I never thought of it being used as a car term. Please tell me that I'm not getting old.

I don't do anymore than I have to my friend. If I have to look something up to know what it is because someone won't tell me when I ask then I don't need to know it all that bad and that person is a douche to me then.

Methanol Is not N20. meth is used to cool your cars charge entering the motor. running 93 pump gas with meth injection is very near the iquivalent of runn straight race gas C16 so in other works you can safely run higher amounts of boost. For example my Evo on 93 only can only safely run 22-24PS. With meth sprayed in I can up the boost and safely run 34-35PSI (if my mods allow that)

Nice...

Just to expand a little more. The reason cars cant crank crazy amounts of boost onpump gasis because of knock and detonation. Knock/detonation is caused by excessive combustion temps. This is usually compensated by higher octane fuel, reason being, is because higher octane = cooler burn. Methanol is a kind of substitute, reducing the cumbustion temp as a higher octane fuel would.

And that is all pretty much coverd in that other write up I put up a while ago about preignition and Detenation either way add it to one helps make it understood
