Yeah im far from a nerd and I get the concept, its easy and makes sense. Not that I read the write-up emonz did. And yeah doing a meth kit is the cheaper way out instead of buying c16 every time u wanna run big boost. How much is that meth kit ure trying to get? Just trying to get an idea. And wuts the difference between the meth kit ure trying to get and the meth kits you see for sale every where else

The Price new for the HFS-5 is like $1000 or something. The HFS-1 kit is like $700 or $800 I think. These are just ballpark figures. The HFS kits are made by aquamist , which it an be argued that they make the best and most reliable kit to date. There is a reason why these are so much and say the SMC kits and AEM kit are $300-$500. And the main things are the aquamist fail safes and pumps. Failsafe are a HUGE deal since if a pump fails you dont want your car to keep trying to run high boost. The SMC kit has cause TONS of blown motors because of the lack of failsafes. Some systems cut boost , pull timing ect ect to save your motor if it detects a failure with the meth system.

Aquamist and Perrin are pretty much the same kit. they use the same conponents. the thing I like best about hte aqaumist kits is it comes with a DDS3 gauge which displays flow\rate and has a low level indicator and pump indicator. Other systems only give to to LEDs to mound somewhere and usually one turns on when it flows and the other comes on if there is a failure detected. Aquamist converts that into a gauge.

here is a pic of the DDS3/gauge that aquamist

you have a tank mounted in the trunk with methanol or a meth/water mix. Some people will do a 50/50 mix. And then the kit comes with a pump and all the wiring into the system so it knows when to pump in the methanol.

It depends. if you dont boost the car the meth wont spray. So it could last a while, but as for price it really isnt that important because I dont even drive the car much. I mean a few tanks of gas a summer or something ya know

I was saying the same thing to TE about pushing the button. It almost looks like one of those DONT PUSH type things.... but all it does is run a system test so you can be sure it is working properly before taking off
