You do under stand my post prior is reffering to drag cars not a car that is a slug in a drag. The elise is not even close to being a drag car. I do understand the elise is a handling machine that is why I have said 10 times I would love to see videos or numbers of it VS an EVO on a road course. Both cars are built for very similar reasons

Thats true. Yeah i get what your saying about drag cars.

The only way to find out is to test drive one! Also, try and get someone to secretly video it if you can. Most dealerships will let you test the **** out of their cars if they think you are a genuine buyer. My brother test drove a Vette and the guy from the dealership was egging him on hahahaha. We are going to head down to the Ferrari dealership and mess with them a little in a few days... hopefully score some good laughs

Lotus Exige is better than the elise, not sure if handling is about the same or better I just know it is faster.

I found a time attack factory EVO MRFQ320 and factory Exige and the EVO went around in 1.26.00 and the lotus was 1.26.90 basically neck and neck. So figure a slightly slower EVO and slightly slower Lotus the results should be very similar Id say its a safe bet they are so close you could almost say there dead even

The FQ MR 400 did it in 1.24.80 but the 400 series has ACD and they also electric power shift side to side so one wheel can over power the others when needed.

Your wrong actually.. the exige is slower than the Elise S ... but it handles a little better... but you cant drive it in the wet because of the tires that it comes with

Also, .9 of a second is A LOT in circuit times... thats huge

Same with the EVOs. The tires are similar to drag radial they just spin if you hit it in the rain.

I always thought the Exige was the fastest of the elise I thought they ran in the 13s or something

I understand that, but in reality it is not much, figure pro drivers run those times so give the cars to me and you who knows we should be pretty close ya know

Nah man.. the Elise S is faster... the Exige was purely for the goal of the best handling car in the world... and they actually got voted the best handling car in the world (or so say top gear)

The tires that come on the Exige are like almost slick... they have tiny little lines in them... in the UK they are barely above the tread laws

well the top gear video I just watch like I said had the EVO MR FQ 320 faster than it on a road track and the FQ 400 much faster than it on a wet track run and some human error in the video
