All right first I'd say L.E.D. Neons are fragile. But you have to make sure you get a high quality L.E.D. kit. You get a low quality cheap kit and there will be hot spots (Where you can see the individual L.E.D. Bulbs due to a lack of sufficient bulbs to provide even lighting). Basically look for a kit with more L.E.D.s Neons ALWAYS provide an even light BUT are extremely fragile due to the fact that it's a flourecent bulb in a plastic tube essentially. So it all depends on your use I prefer LEDs myself they have a 10,000 hour lifespan and are extremely flexible and can take some abuse. I currntly have my front LED buld bent at approximately a 5 degree angle in the middle to fit and be held right where it needs to shine through what used to be the front bumper of my body kit. Try putting that angle in a neon bulb and it WILL shatter.

I would say LEDS as I had both and the first to burn out or for whatever reason are no longer burning were the neons.
