I can kinda see that as most RWD sports cars do not handle great in inclement weather...but AWD is a blast in the snow.

No but the paint on Evos is lacking. Its very soft. you can scratch the **** out of it just by touch. Forget salt and snow. the front end of all Evos gets owned from rock chips why would I want to add to that? I have 2 of which that have rust in them now without even running threw winters. Plus I like to keep the car as cleas as possible. Salt is a PITA to get off after a long winter. im not talking about the paint either. I talking engine bay, undercarage ect. Plus my cars mods are a bit much IMO to support snow driving. not that it would be impossible but other than going out to do a few drifts and spins it would prob not be much fun.

and coming from a modding aspect. I have modded cars that are DD all year around. and the turn bolts that have been threw weather really can **** me off. esspecially what one snaps. I Like the modabiltiy of my nice clean car when I hardly even have try to turn a bolt because they are all still nice and shiny like they should be lol

Fair enough. I just love the look on people's face when I pull up to their SUV that has slid off the road in my little sports car and ask them if they need help.

You've got more will power than me. I'd be driving that little rally car like a mad man.

You guys act like an EVO is a classic Ferrari or something.
Exactly. I drive the evo. I'm sick of taking extreme care of a car that i will not own for more than 3 years. I took care of my old 98 gs-t like it was my own kid. No i don't have it, and some other dude is benefiting from it.

At some point if you mod your car youll not want to drive in the snow. My car with bolt on and a tune was rough in the rain at times when I used to drive it daily. it loved to get the tires loose. I drove it once in the rain with the 50trim and it was annoying. only got traction in 4th gear. if there was even alittle bit of boost involved in teh lover gear the car would start to walk.

I couldnt stand driving the Evo in the rain even it made the car look awful in no time flat, but then again mine is TB so it show the paint abuse more than any other

Yeah, TB is hot...but only when it's clean

I have a 94 mercury sable d/d that i pound through the potholes. I recently moved to where i'm at now, and there's about 1 mile of dirt road before i get to blacktop. Until summer, I'll just have to drive really slow unless i want to blow the struts through the mounts

My '99 GS-T has been stored in my garage since October. My philosophy is that if you spend a bunch of money on something then why not keep it nice and take care of it. I like to keep the paint nice and also keep other things from corroding that salt will make them do.
