The Kicker SL7 is the best sub i have ever come across....without a doubt.

Other good brands: MTX, Alpine, Pioneer

budget? how much sound are you looking for? if you want just a nice sound i'd say just get 1 JL Audio W7, a 10 or 12.5 would do you just fine. if you are looking for just the loudest effing thing you can find... 3 JL Audio WS 12.5's. each one is rated at 1000w and the clarity of the sound is second to none. the only 3 speakers that compete w/ it are the MTX9500, Jackhammer, Kicker's Solo x7 (i think-rated at 10,000wats but the clarity is crap!). A JL W712 you can pick up for apx 350-450each.

whats your budget? and what are you looking for as in amount of subs and size? have you done the big 3? if not you will need to if you plan on running more than 1500 watts. JL's are good but you can definately get better. heres a site to help you out just go in there and say what your looking for and tell them your budget.

better than JL??? what/who would that be? JL is the best of the best, period other than DD where i don't think JP wants to pay 900-1300/speaker.

I like my Kickers. I've had the same 2 12" subs (now sitting and collecting dust) since 2000 and I used to pound the poop out of them for 4 years straight and the surrounds are still intact and the subs still work. I've had my 6.5" kicker subs for about the same time and their just as strong...although, I'm pounding those harder now since I no longer have my subs in the car. Kicker, good quality stuff right there.
