BAY HARBOR ISLES, Fla. -- A Lamborghini owned by Hulk Hogan burst into flames Saturday on a Bay Harbor Islands road.

Residents said the Lamborghini, driven by professional wrestling legend Hulk Hogan's 16-year-old son, Nick, burst into flames in front of a home, leaving behind charred grass, shattered glass and carbon fiber.

"The fire was coming from underneath and above the car. It was literally a ball of fire," said witness Nathaniel Perez.

Perez first peered out of the window of his home, then ran out to find a $200,000 Lamborghini engulfed in flames and Hogan's son watching helplessly.

"He said, 'The car was overheating. I stopped and when I got out I saw that there was a fire in the engine compartment,'" Perez said.

The exotic yellow sports car was a total loss. Witnesses said the teen's mother was frantic.

"She was freaking out. I guess she was happy that her son was safe," Perez said.

The Lamborghini is registered to Hulk Hogan himself, who was apparently out of town when the incident happened just off the 96th Street Causeway, NBC 6's Amara Sohn reported.

The teenager lives in Miami Beach with his family.

"I was afraid the car would blow up, so I took my kids and went to the garage," Perez said.

The fire did not spread and no injuries were reported.

willin to put a good amount of money that the kid was thrashing the ***** off it.. prolly cooking the clutch ect... caused the fire himself. ****in rich kids

yeah, that kid has no business driving around a car like that. maybe one of their supra's, but letting him drive the lambo was just a bad idea.

 

sadly enough though there supras are worth prob just as much as the Lambo. they have a rare 97 and a rare 98. the 98 has a 15k widebody kit without install and a 10k Turbo kit with a built motor and tranny. those average selling for around or over 100K depending on some other options

 

wow. I knew they had a couple supra's but I didnt know they had that much work done to them. they shouldn't let the boy drive those either, or hes gonna kill himself.

 

Get him a Honda beater, so it won't matter what the hell he does. I didn't even think he was 16 lol I thought he was 14 or something.
