Default lexane

Anybody know where to get Lexane windows? Not sure if you have to special order them or have them custom made but my windshield is cracked and i'd like to replace it w/ a Lexane window, any help is appreciated. Thanks.

They are not street legal. They scratch pretty easily. Why would you want a lexan wind shield?

found 2 companies that make scratch resistant Lexan however all the people i have called have been against it in a DD. so nvm lol and i really didn't wanna spend 445 bucks + shipping on a windshield. but damn... close to a 22lb weight savings? it's almost worth it lol.

new question. anybody know of any other lightweight materials used for windows that are street legal and scratch resistand and that you can tint?

I don't think there are any DOT approved wind shields, other than OEM spec. How scratch resistant do you think Lexan (or any plexiglas derivative) really is? I've owned several pair of "scratch resistant" sunglasses...they all got scratched over time. Not only that, Lexan doesn't hold up well to UV rays. I realize you've said no for the Lexan, just pointing out problems for you consideration.

on your car Jon, it's worth it. lol but on mine??? it's primer grey, no interior, no front bumper, no fenders, NOW a rear ended rear bumper and license plate holder.... no WAY i'm paying anything more than i have to until my car looks and runs decent lol. i'm still waiting for them to send me next months bill for insurance i'm curious to see how much it dropped now that i'm 21. On my b-day i got a check in the mail from my INS company for 104 and change and this months is somehow paid for. lol i'm not complaining.

i have comprehensive on both my cars only because i think its like another $120 or something per year for BOTH of them. So only $60 for each. But for me to have collision it would cost alot more than that. I think my total would jump up about $800 per year for it.
