Emonz: Look at the OLD Supra's early 80's models they do look quite similar. Same with the RX-7. The Daytona is a MUCH closer match I agree but it's still rounder than the 'quest.

Sebba: The Audi does bear a small resemblance but that fender isn't nearly as wide as the 'quest. The biggest thing though is the rear windows. That's always the way I tell any of the cars apart. The 300 ZX is the only other car that has the 2 rear side windows almost look like they are 1 piece with the rear windshield or look attached to it by that black strip. The Daytona has rounded rear 1/4 windows and a rounder front end.

Tidus: Good LOL cuz I don't let very many people at all drive my cars lol. BTW where in VA are you going to look for a college? If you're not coming out to the coast you likely won't run into me.

Tidus:
Let me know when you're going to be out there I live RIGHT on the oceanfront. I'm 8 blocks from the water.

Sebba:
I've already started tearing it down further and will likely have it back together in a month or so. I have most of the needed parts already ordered/won (Ebay). It's all clenaing and replacing parts now.

David:
No the Daytona used the Chrysler 2.2L engine where the Starions and Conquests used the 2.6L turbo engine. There were also a the Shelby Charger? which used the Daytona body but had a specially designed and built engine. The chassis are also different. I believe that the Daytona was a FWD but StarQuests are rear wheel independant suspension vehicles. Also there were a few experimental SQs that had 4 wheel steering. Rather odd concept but I have seen one with it.

I'm workin on it man. I got the TB rebuild kit on the way and have pulled the TB off the car already. I have ALOT of cleaning to do under the hood. I also managed to score a timing kit including all chains, guides, tensioner, and gaskets for a mere $35. So this weekend I'll clean and rebuild the throttle body and start pulling the front off the engine.

Wow do a wee bit of research and you'll find that your current preconceptions are quite far off. Even partially screwed, my Rio is quicker than anything I've ridden in or driven. These things had 197 HP off the dealership floor. Light mods put quite a bit more power into them too. With a mild buildup on my Rio I'm looking to hit at least 350 HP with mostly stock components. Not to mention they are all RWD and most of them intercooled and have LSDs as well. They're actually quite impressive for the time they were made if you think about it.
