So if you capsize does it stop being a concrete canoe and then become your personal concrete coffin?? LOL

You might wanna upload that last pic again only 1/2 of it seems to be there...

 

i thaught it was just a bad close up of the bottom of the boat or something...

 

well that one that is cut off is just us applying the concrete but later i'll fix it. I think the boat is supposed to wiegh somewhere around 150 lbs. We spent 10 hours yesterday working on that. Now all we can do is wait.

Once it cures we are going to to sand it down to smooth it then we are going to paint it.

 

Paint doesn't count as a sealant?

 

not really. The thing is your really not going to get water seeping through the concrete anyway. The only way the canoe can fail it 1) it sinks. Which will not happen. or 2) it cracks. which can definetly happen.

 

wouldn't it sink?
