i know this is kinda a copy of the thread left in general mitsu chat, but im compairing another car in the 2. my uncle might hit a 2 mil deal and if he does hes gunna get me a car..... (fingers crossed) hes giving me a choice between 3 cars. an evo, sti, or spec B.... he likes the spec B and suggests that. im interested in the evo or sti. im wondering what one you guys would chose, please dont offer any other kinds like ford or mazda or anything cuz its not an option for me. hes a HUGE subi fan so he would be happier to see me get a sti or spec B but im a mitsu fan so he would be willing to do the evo if i wanted. if you chose the evo give me a year, like evo IX or wait for evo X, or what ever one you think is best. also same with the others, give me a year of best one in your opinion. all opinions are greatly appreciated.

also feel free to give an opinion in color and customizations.... lol

 

Im a Mitsu person... and I like the EVO... but IMO the Subi is a better car.. (Why do I see myself catching **** for saying this?)The Spec B isnt really in the same classas the other two though... so its kinda w/e.

 

You want to know why your gonna catch **** for the sti remark, i because you better have you specs to back it up. The EVO is an all around better car IMO. Get the EVO, you will not be disapointed

 

Evo... Its mostly up to what you like the looks of better though.. The two are comparable in many things.. The Evo has better stuff in some areas, and the sti has its advantages.. Just get what you want though man.. Dont get what everyone else thinks you should get..

 

STI's are over populated, went to NOPI National last year and they are the new honda. they look great and sound b e a u t i f u l w/ an exhaust but the EVO will out handle, out run, and just plain out perform the STI any day of the week. Another thing is tha the EVO's are about 1/2 as much to Mod than the STI's.

 

Yes yes, see! Told ya, lol... I dunno, like I said, in the least turn-coat way, I just prefer the looks of the STi to the EVO. Though, as far as power and capabilitygoes Id sooner give the award to the EVO. Specificaly the FQ-400 which will NEVER make it stateside...

 

to be honest i was leaning tword the evo. i love the evo's looks and everything, but i do have to admit i do like the sti's looks a lil better. either way they both look nice. nobody for the spec B? im not to informed about that car but thats the car my uncle suggested, it only comes in manual and that no prob cuz whatever i get is manual and he says its a quick lil car. also everyone is going with evo. what model do you prefer?

 

o yea i forgot to add. the main reason im asking for opinions is because i want a car thats gunna run forever too, cuz if this did happen, it would be my car for a LONG time. no new cars for a while. so i dont want something thats gunna need to be fixed every month, also what one will be cheaper to fix? i was already told mods are cheaper but all the mods will be paid for from my uncle so that dont matter, but i will have to pay repair if anything happened, so thats more important to me.

 

Screw it. Just to be different, Im voting Spec-B... I had a Legacy Turbo that I loved... (and flipped, youll notice it under the "wrecked" option in the "What cars have u owned?" thread...)

 

well a couple things you will be instore for if you buy the evo are... tires, brake pads and clutch run out somewhat quickly depending on how much it's been abused. i love the look of the IX 2934829 times better than the VIII
