Mitsubishi in the Movies
Hey all,
If you love to watch movies and love Mitsubishis check out the movie Thunderbolt just released on DVD for the first time. It came out in 1995 and sometimes you can catch it on television. Staring Jackie Chan as a professional race car driver turned mechanic. Filmed in Hong Kong and Japan it has some great driving sequences including the final race. Filled with lots of crashes and fights you might want to check it out. Granted the acting is cheesy, but the action is pretty good.

I saw the movie a long time ago on TBS. One of my favorite movies of all time.
And it's mechanic turned professional race car driver, ain't it?
Best part is like a 10-minute constant fight scene in a Japanese casino lol.

It was made in Hong Kong LOL so yea it is cheesy. He was a race car driver for Mitsubishi and goes to Hong Kong to work for his dad at his shop. It got good action though and to see the Japanese versions of the cars we love is pretty cool. If you watch it look at the Silver Eclipse is the first part of the movie. Looks close to what the 2006 looks like here. It also has EVOs and even and 3000gt for the final race. It's what you expect in terms of dialog from Hong Kong, but Jackie Chan is still the man when it comes to stunts.
Yea I rented it a couple weeks ago. I was skepticle at first but I love Jackie Chan so I watched it anyways. It turned out pretty good and there is some good action sequences. LOL the police are a little harsh in the movie though.
