my moms 96 Chevy Astro "Truck"
my mom has a 96 astro truck series... it is a van with a truck engine frame and tranny... the van VERY despratley needs the front left brake and rotor replaced because last time when we changed the rest, that ones bolt on the caliper snapped so it never got changed.. well now, the back side of the rotor is GONE, it is just the rivettes.. but my question is, why is that brake still catching before the rest of them?? the brake that has no pads or anything is the ONLY one catching, and i went to park it at the store today, the brake pedal went to the floor but it wouldnt stop, so i hit the E-Brake... anyone know why the otherones arent grabbing before the bad one?
so you have no idea why it does this? im just afraid that once we put the brake and rotor on(we bought it, just couldnt change it) im afraid the other ones still wont catch
well thats the problem, they neglect the hell outa that thing(but its a chevy so it still runs :P) but that brake, my step dad is working on now, still cant get that old one off where the bolt snapped, then the spark plugs DESPRATELY need changed, they are missfiring likea ****, and the fuel filter needs changed.. when you get up to 70 thatthing chugs like never before
well, found out what it was... the "brakes" were sooo dammnn bad, the seal on the cylinder in the caliper was torn to hell, so when you hit the brakes, all the oil and fluid just shot outa there, so the pressure wasnt getting to the other brakes... so we got new caliper rotor and pads lmao
