the 3red lights mean hardware failure. Ive gone through 4 360's so far that had that happen. I think ive got the worst luck ever with these damn xbox's. How long have you had it, i believe they extended the warrenty to 3 years so you should be able to send it back and get it repaired for free.

 

its slanged as "the red light of death" the one thing every 360 owner fears

 

yea its a hardware error, and i got the warrenty on it but this is the first time it happened to me since i had it, which was way back when they first came out

 

Then consider yourself lucky. Like i said ive been through 4 of them and i take really good care of them and actually hardly play it.
