Ooops....
Well my mother always told me to never take your eyes off the car in front of you, well i did for one brief second getting off of an off-ramp from the highway after watching the guy in front of me pull foward. I look left and the closest car was a good 200 ft away, so you figure he must have gone. Well he was on his cell phone so i dont think he was really paying to much attention to the road. But long story short, i now have a cracked bumper and my hood resembles a tee-pee.
Luckily i had no engine damage at all!! not even a radiator. I hit a nissan xterra and all i really did was knock the spare tire off the bottom of the car and scrated the platic rear bumper that those things have. Also it was a dealer car, but im sure that they will fix it cheap themselves and have the insurance company apraise the repairs at around $1400 for something that could be fix for $200. But whatever. And to top it off i got cited which blows.

There's always something to cite you for when there's an accident. A few years ago my brother and I were in his car and the roads were snowy and icy and he went off the road and hit a tree. He got a ticket for making an illegal right turn...just incase he wasn't aware there wasn't a road that went through that particular tree. He was going too fast for the conditions, so that may have played a role, but didn't get a ticket for unsafe speed.
Anyway, at least you have no engine damage, although the cosmetics and hood will be expensive enough.

Do I see the beginnings of a rice mobile? You won't want to fix the latch, so you can get some nice hood pins instead. Then you won't want to paint the new hood, so you can just primer it. And you already have the cracked front bumper! lol, you can be a really cool ricer in just two easy steps! j/k
At least it'll be a cheap fix for you considering the citation and insurance costs.

wow thats kind of weird. my brother hit someone and his car's in the shop, and my racin groupie (i call him that cause he loves lookin at my evo's ***) slammed into a guard rail tryin to drift (damn that fast and furious 3 movie's) and now you? wow.
yea the damn insurance is gonna be a bitch. I might fight the citation, but there isnt much i can do about the surcharge on the accident. if its 0-500 on damage on the other vehicle then it wont matter, but i doubt that will be the case since appraisers always overprice everything.
