Well, I was bored today so I decided to use a Canon SLR that my wife is borrowing for her photog class.
I just have to say, this is my first experience with an SLR (besides in CS or BB, lol) and I love it!
My wife asked if we're going to have to get one and I had to say YES! These cameras are just badass!


I was going to put this in the pic forum but, it's not really about my car, that I just washed and waxed yesterday . Just random pics that happen to include my car, lol.

This Navy chopper was roughly 1000ft up. It was chance that they flew over while I had a camera, lol.

I love how it focused on the closest part of the bumper guard with the rest of the pic blurred.

I'm no photographer either, I just point, zoom, focus, and click. I'm going to have to toss my old Sony Cybershot out the window! I love this camera.

Man, you have to get one. This particular SLR is "only" a 6.1? MB cam. After about 4mb, it's not a huge deal since most pics are taken close enough for zoom to not affect the pic quality. A tripod is a very good investment with SLRs too. I did those pics free hand and it was tough to keep it still. You can see it if you click those pics on how blurred they are. The car pic is the only one that I was able to sit completely still and it was very tough. The outer areas are the non-focus areas and that's why they are blurred..which I find very cool...without photoshop, lol.
Thanks for the comment KD, I've yet to take some new car pics around the island. One day I hope, lol.

 

My girlfriend has a Canon Rebel EOS 8.2 digital SLR and loves it.

Best cameras available, but expensive. hers was over 2 grand.

But you really get what you pay for.

 

That's what I used...but it's a 6.3 (just researched it's model).

 

great and im stuck with a sony cybershot lol its not a bad camera for me i get great pics....just the ones i post are w/ my cell phone ill see if i can get some up
